Guide Diver Courses

It is at least a three-star diver who has completed the Guide Diver Course opened by a three-star instructor who is registered with a diving organization with an authorization certificate and who has attended the compliance seminar organized by the Federation and has been successful in the exam opened by the Federation. He/she guides and supervises local or foreign divers who want to dive in our territorial waters, on behalf of the authorized diving organization he/she is assigned to, underwater and / or above water in order to promote and protect the natural and cultural values of the underwater, and prevents damage to the underwater. The guide diver must be present at every diving activity. He/she can be on the boat or in the water during the activity. If the authorized guide of the diving organization cannot participate in the diving activity of that day due to a valid excuse, the diving organization may temporarily assign a guide diver from another organization in the region. The valid excuse is notified to the authorized law enforcement officers in the region before the dive.

Requirements to become a guide diver,

• 1) Being a Turkish citizen,
• 2) At least primary or secondary school diploma,
• 3) At least six months after obtaining the three-star diver certificate and having made at least 50 approved dives and documenting this with a dive logbook,
• 4) To fulfill the health conditions specified in Article 19 of these Instructions,
• 5) To know a foreign language determined by the Federation and to be successful in the exam to be opened by the Federation,
• 6) Crimes against the security of the state, crimes against the constitutional order and the functioning of this order, crimes against state secrets and espionage, embezzlement, extortion, bribery, bribery, theft, looting, crimes against the security of the state, crimes against the constitutional order and the functioning of this order, crimes against state secrets and espionage, embezzlement, embezzlement, bribery, bribery, theft, plunder, even if they have been pardoned, except for negligent crimes and sentences that have been converted into alternative sanctions to short-term imprisonment or suspended except for the crimes listed below, not to have been convicted of disgraceful crimes such as fraud or crimes against sexual immunity, prostitution, manufacture and trade of drugs and stimulants, use, facilitation of use, purchase, acceptance or possession for use, or crimes offending honor and dignity, or bid rigging, bid rigging, laundering assets derived from crime, smuggling, tax evasion and unfair acquisition of property,
• 7) Not to have been penalized more than six months at a time or more than one year in total within this period, provided that it has been within the last three years according to the General Directorate of Youth and Sports Amateur Sports Branches Penal Regulation published in the Official Gazette dated 07/1/1993 and numbered 21458 and the Federation Disciplinary or Penal Instructions,
• 8) Not having a certificate that has not been canceled or an unpaid fine according to the Underwater Sports, Life Saving, Water Skiing and Crawler Swimming Federation Instrument Diving Regulations and Turkish Underwater Sports Federation Equipped Diving Regulations and Instructions,
