BARACUDA  REEF:

It is an excellent diving spot located 3 miles from Fethiye harbour and 500m from the mainland. It is also called Dalyan Wall by some dive centres. If the visibility is good, you can see the green-blue colour of the reef from far away and anchor at the top point at a depth of 10-15 m. If the visibility is bad and there is no GPS, your job will be a little difficult. It is useful to check the current before you start diving. Because the current is very strong from time to time and does not allow a pleasant dive. Since the area is the target of all kinds of hunting, the population of big fish has decreased considerably.

Start diving from the top of the shallows. Firstly, the wall is found by going from 12-15 m. on the south-east route. The most beautiful part of the dive starts from here. The deepest part of the steep wall, which continues in the east direction, reaches 40 m. The wall is very colourful, all kinds of local fish and new guests play around you. Curious dwarf puffer fishes will not leave your side during the dive. 80-100m along the wall. After travelling along the wall, pass through the short tunnel at 35m and slowly ascend to 20-22m. Stop here and look carefully at your surroundings and the middle waters, a school of barracuda may be nearby. Now your bottom time is over, ascend a little and move westwards to 10-15m. Go around here and return to the boat by completing the dive time. You have a good chance of seeing turtles and barracuda during the dive.

Duration: 35-40 min.

Suitable for experienced divers.
