KIZILADA:

It is the big island at the exit of Fethiye harbour. The lighthouse built by the French in 1910 still stands on it, but it has not been spared from privatisation. At the end of the dive, if you are close to the sunset, you can go up to the lighthouse and watch a magnificent sunset. Diving here in September and October will make you very happy.

Depending on the seasonal conditions, sometimes the surface waters are very turbid, but after 7-8m. normal visibility starts again. After reaching the bottom, turn to the south direction and go to a depth of 20-25m. Go to a depth of 20-25m. Now look down as if you are looking from a balcony and you will see a large depression area in front of you, the bottom of which goes down to 35-40m. If you are lucky, you can see groupers of 15-20 kg. that are out for a stroll here. Then turn slightly to the left and enter the small cave at 35 metres. As the cave is very narrow the sediment at the bottom is easily aerated. However, it is suitable for a few divers, the cave is full of red shrimps again. When you shine the torch they run away and make a mess. After the cave, when you return to a depth of 18-20m, you will see a rocky area resembling an amphitheatre. You can sit on the stones and watch the fish play. After this, continue by taking the island to your left. There are many moray eels and octopus nests in the area. Flora and fauna are quite rich. When you observe the environment on the plateau lying below you, it is possible to see an unbelievably rich life. You can continue diving and return to the bay and go back to your boat.
